BEEN COOPED ALL SUMMER ----- GET OUT AND LET’S RIDE
Fellow Fugowee Snowmobile Club Members,
We the board members of the club want to update you on the happenings of our Snowmobile Club. We met via Zoom Saturday, November 7th. This is a summary of our meeting.
The focus of the club this year is to “Keep the Club GOING”. Quite the challenge with COVID as prevalent in our area as it is. However, the good news is we can go on snowmobile rides as a group. After being so cooped up all summer we can get outside and ride, breathe the beauty of the fresh air and social distance. Cindy and Steve Owens and Bruce and Laurie Ard will be putting together a ride schedule. We will post this in the Island Park News Paper under HAPPENINGS, on our Web Site, and on our Facebook Page. Please share these rides with everyone you think would be interested.
Unfortunately, due to COVID, there will not be a Christmas Party this year.
As a club, we have been asked to share the information about a Fund Raiser for Linda Harris who has been diagnosed with Cancer. Linda is best known as her cooking days at Robins Roost. The fundraiser will be held at the Marriott on November 20th. There will be a silent auction, and other activities. Check out the Island Park Newspaper for more details.
President Bruce Ard was contacted and asked if the Fat Tire Race participants could use our warming hut during their race. The board members agreed unanimously that they could.
We will be donating $350 to the Chamber for our Snowmobile Club to purchase an advertisement on the new trail map that will soon be published and printed. We will also purchase to advertise in the Island Park News to get the club out to more people, especially visitors. We will also print up some Club Posters to distribute to the local businesses.
Bruce Ard will be attending the Groomer Meeting on November 9th.
Please mail annual dues of $15 (for either individual or family) to the address below. If you are a new member or your information has changed, please fill out the application form attached and mail with your payment. Thank you.
